Experts expect imminent advancements in artificial intelligence will transform cybersecurity, especially the workflows of cyber defenders, according to SC Media.
"From detecting threats that would have otherwise gone unnoticed to automating triage, remediation and response, AI is enabling human analysts to focus on the more complex and strategic aspects of their roles that truly make a difference," said Abnormal Security Chief Information Security Officer Mike Britton, whose firm won this year's SC Award for Best Security Company.
AI was also cited by NightDragon Managing Director Morgan Kyauk, whose company was given the SC Award for Investor of the Year, to be even more impactful as adoption increases in specific enterprise apps. However, establishing security protections will be crucial in ensuring responsible AI development, according to Kyauk.
"It's important that we mitigate these risks as we continue to advance this sector; otherwise, we put future innovation and our very security at risk," Kyauk added.
