Giacom Acquires intY, Bolsters Microsoft Cloud Offerings

Giacom has officially announced the acquisition of intY, a Microsoft cloud services provider based in the UK, previously owned by U.S. company ScanSource. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Giacom is based in Suffolk, England. The company employs 325 individuals, as listed on LinkedIn. Giacom specializes in comms, cloud, IT, and billing.

intY, established in 1997, operates from Bristol, England. The company has 395 employees listed on LinkedIn. intY's areas of expertise include Cloud Computing, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Symantec Cloud, Cloud Back Up, Cloud Migration, msp, Cloud security, M365, Acronis, and Agency.

Integration and Partner Support Focus

This acquisition encompasses intY's UK revenues, partners, and business operations, marking a significant expansion of Giacom’s capabilities in the Microsoft cloud domain. This move is expected to strengthen Giacom's position in the market, particularly in servicing the SMB-focused UK channel. 

Following the acquisition, approximately 1500 partners from intY will be integrated into Giacom's operations, the company said. Giacom aims to maintain service continuity for these partners while introducing them to new opportunities. 

Partners are anticipated to benefit from access to a diverse range of products and services, including cloud, communications, hardware, and billing solutions, according to Giacom.
