Kaseya has named a new chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Does the move hint at plans for an IPO for the software provider owned by private equity company Insight Partners?
Ryan Courson will take both seats for the global cybersecurity and IT software provider effective immediately, the company announced. He's an executive with experience at both private equity funded companies and publicly held companies.
Prior to Kaseya, Courson served as CFO of several companies including Cornerstone on Demand, EagleView Technologies, and Atlas Corp.
Additionally, he has spent time as a technology and software investor at Alpha Wave Global, Teton Capital and Berkshire Hathaway, Kaseya said in a prepared statement.
Kaseya Targets Top 10 Global Software Company Status
As part of his dual role at Kaseya, Courson will oversee the company’s global financial and corporate infrastructure operations.
“Ryan is a seasoned executive, and his expertise in managing world-class financial organizations while driving operational excellence that will further enhance our customers’ experiences,” said Fred Voccola, CEO, Kaseya. “Ryan is an executive that shares our customer-centric approach, and I’m super excited to have Ryan join our executive team. Adding someone of Ryan’s skills, experience and track record of driving highly profitable growth is critical as we continue our journey becoming one of the top 10 software companies in the world by the end of this decade.”
CFO Changes at ConnectWise
Kaseya isn’t the only MSP-focused company shaking things up at the C-level. ConnectWise recently announced its new chief financial officer. Rik Thorbecke, who ConnectWise said has IPO experience, took the position earlier this month, moving over from the same role at Virgin Pulse.
