Netskope Intros SASE Solution for Midmarket and MSPs

Netskope, a company in the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) sector, announced the latest addition to its SASE solutions, specifically designed for midmarket businesses and the managed service providers (MSPs) that support them.

This expansion of Netskope's SASE portfolio aims to deliver a complete range of SASE capabilities, catering to various customer sizes and technological needs, from midmarket firms to large enterprises.

The challenges faced by midmarket organizations mirror those of larger enterprises, especially in hybrid work connectivity and cybersecurity, according to Netskope.

These challenges often lead to the deployment of a broad range of security and networking tools, increasing complexity and maintenance costs, which can be overwhelming for smaller IT teams and budgets, the company asserts.

SASE Features

A significant hurdle for midmarket companies is the limitations of legacy security technologies and the lack of advanced security options from many SASE vendors. The Gartner 2023 Critical Capabilities for Single-Vendor SASE report indicates a disparity in advanced security features across most enterprise offerings.

The new SASE solution from Netskope looks to address the specific needs of midmarket enterprises and aims to simplify their security and network management, while providing robust protection, the company said.

Netskope's new SASE offering for the midmarket includes:

  • Enterprise-grade threat and data protection capabilities.
  • A unified management console for simplified deployment and administration.
  • The Netskope Borderless SD-WAN and NewEdge network coverage, enhancing network agility and performance.

The Balance Of Performance and Security

Dave Rogers, SVP of Global Alliances and Channel Sales at Netskope, commented:

"Netskope continues to disrupt the status quo by providing more companies the right balance of performance and security—all the benefits of single-vendor SASE, at the right level for their size and needs. Today’s release is an ideal SASE solution for midmarket enterprises that are ready to consolidate their hardware, optimize performance, and won’t settle for mediocre security."

Siva VRS, Vice President & Global Head Cloud and Infrastructure Security at Wipro, said:

“As our Fortune 5000 customers continue building upon their digital transformation initiatives, many are considering or actively adopting SASE as a critical convergence of cloud-delivered networking and security capabilities. We are excited to continue working together with Netskope to deliver the right levels of SASE solution to a range of business types and sizes.”

Darren Carlson, CEO of Halo Global, added:

“Our midmarket enterprise customers have been waiting for Halo Global as an MSP to offer a unified SASE solution that is easy to deploy and can be co-managed and administered by their resource-constrained IT/security team, all while improving their network performance and security posture. We are excited to be working with Netskope to help achieve these outcomes for our clients with Netskope SASE.”
