Office Equipment M&A: QRX Technology Acquires Kerr Norton

QRX Technology Group has acquired Kerr Norton, effective today. The combined Canadian companies will focus on IT equipment, supplies and managed print services (MPS). Financial terms were not disclosed.

QRX Technology Group, founded in 1989, is a privately owned provider of print management solutions. The Toronto-based company has extended beyond ink/toner, media and paper products, selling all inclusive managed print services (MPS).

The seller, Kerr Norton, launched more than 75 years ago making typewriter ribbons. The company gained an environmental focus long before many rivals, and has more than two decades experience in recycling and remanufacturing cartridges.

Kerr Norton's partners include HP Inc., Lexmark, Xerox, Canon, Brother, Maxell, Ricoh and Samsung.

ChannelE2E has reached out to QRX Technology to see how many employees the combined business will have. Also, we're checking Kerr Norton's ownership history; we're curious to learn how this company's ownership has potentially evolved from decade to decade over the past 75 years.
