Microsoft Windows Patch for WannaCry, WannaCrypt Ransomware

Reminder: A fresh round of WannaCry and WannaCrypt ransomware attacks could hit Microsoft Windows users today when they return to work and boot up their machines. If you're late to the game and need protection, you'll need this Microsoft Windows Patch (MS17-010) from March 2017. For even older versions of Windows (example: Windows XP) here's an emergency patch from Microsoft issued Friday, May 12, 2017.

The patches protect Windows from a global ransomware attack that unfolded on May 12. Malware targeted consumer and business PCs across more than 100 countries, which could make the event the largest ransomware attack ever.
