Artificial intelligence (AI) intrusions have become a growing concern among managed service providers (MSPs), with such attacks reported by 67% of MSPs within the past year, reports SC Media.

More MSPs also intend to grow security offerings this year, with 45% and 43% considering security audits and vulnerability testing and scanning, while 42% and 40% plan on unveiling security education training and internal security policies for clients, according to a survey from Kaseya.

However, client indifference to cyberattacks and network breach threats was noted as the leading hindrance faced by MSPs in promoting and selling cybersecurity services, followed by complicated offerings and inadequate staff training. "The rise of 'customer apathy' as the top barrier this year — jumping from seventh place last year — underscores the urgent need for MSPs to educate clients about cyber-risks through initiatives like security training and phishing simulations," said Kaseya.
