ScanSource is no stranger to acquisitions. In 2016, the company acquired Intelysis. This latest acquisition is seen as complementary to the Intelysis buyout. In August 2018, the company acquired Salesforce cloud consultant Canpango.
ScanSource says it will invest in language options for CASCADE to strengthen the company’s international partners. The translation will begin with Portuguese, thanks to ScanSource’s existing presence in Brazil.

Mike Baur, Chairman and CEO of ScanSource commented on the deal:
“CASCADE serves as the next piece in our continuing digital strategy and provides partners with critical capabilities, including software provisioning, data analytics, seat management, billing and support, so partners can sell more strategic cloud solutions and build strong recurring revenue practices.”
Craig Joseph, CEO, intY, also commented:
“At a time when partners want to deliver increased value, intY’s award-winning CASCADE platform and Partner Insights™, along with the depth of the ScanSource and Intelisys portfolios, provide the market with a very compelling solution provider.”
Founded in 1997, intY has 65 employees. Joseph and the intY team will join the more than 2,700 ScanSource employees, the company said.
