Booz Allen Hamilton has named Kristine Martin Anderson to the chief operating officer post effective June 1, 2022. The executive move comes as Booz Allen continues to accelerate its government IT services and cybersecurity businesses -- both organically and through acquisitions.

As COO, Anderson will "take primary responsibility for accelerating firmwide operational performance and the transformation of the company’s business model, in collaboration with leaders from across the firm," the company said. Anderson has been a leader at Booz Allen for more than 16 years.

Meanwhile, Rich Crowe, an executive VP serving as chief growth officer, has been appointed as president of the firm’s Civil Sector and will join the Booz Allen's leadership team.

The executive updates surface as Booz Allen continues to scour the IT services and cybersecurity markets for potential acquisitions. Indeed, Booz Allen has a $3.5 billion to $4.5 billion budget that “prioritizes strategic acquisitions” through 2025, CEO Horacio Rozanski told Wall Street analysts during an earnings call on January 28, 2022.
