VMware partners Green House Data and Cirracore are uniting to scale their businesses. Green House, which specializes in cloud hosting, colocation, hybrid IT, and managed services, has acquired Cirracore, an Atlanta-based IaaS and hybrid cloud specialist. The Cirracore customer list includes a strong presence in the Southeast as well as large national and international brands, the two companies asserted.

The deal provides Green House Data with greater geographic diversity and a larger set of products to offer, according to Green House Data CEO. Moreover, the Cirracore management team will be integrated into the Green House Data team, Mills said, though he didn't offer specific headcount figures.

Cirracore, founded in 2008 by Fred Tanzella, has "beat revenue projections and boasts an exceptionally low customer churn rate," the two companies say. However actual revenue figures and churn rates were not disclosed. Tanzella is joining the Green House Data executive team as part of the deal.

Green House Data, founded in 2008, has rapidly expanded from its Cheyenne, Wyoming, roots. The company's partner ecosystem now has access to more than 250 carriers, service providers, and content providers across west, central, east, and Southeast locations. Green House Data facilities comply with HIPAA, SSAE 16 Type II, and PCI-DSS mandates.

The deal comes only a few weeks after VMware punted on its own vCloud Air services to focus more on multi-cloud management and the forthcoming VMware Cloud for AWS services. Amid those market shifts, Green House appears well-positioned to gain VMware workloads as customers seek cloud providers for their next-generation projects.
