AWS Introduces Telecommunications Competency

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is introducing an AWS Telecommunications Competency, which helps telcos find validated partners offering consulting services in key telecom solution areas. AWS Telecom Competency Partners help telcos accelerate solution innovation and modernize their services using the latest telco industry offerings, such as Integrated Private Wireless on AWS and AWS Telco Network Builder, according to a statement from AWS.

The AWS Telecom Competency highlights specialized AWS Partners offering professional services in key telecom areas, including Operations Support Systems (OSS), Business Support Systems (BSS), Communications as a Service (CaaS), Mobile Networks, and Media & TV.

AWS customers can now quickly find vetted partners for building, deploying, or managing comprehensive telecom solutions. Current partners include Tech Mahindra, Tata, Deloitte, IBM, Cognizant, NTT DATA and more.

AWS Telecom Competency Partners must complete a rigorous validation of their technical skills and demonstrate proven customer success through case studies, AWS said in the statement.

AWS Partners with telecom offerings can learn more about becoming an AWS Competency Partner here.

AWS Telecom Competency Partners receive private account planning sessions in addition to general AWS Competency Program benefits. AWS Partners looking to get their telecom offering validated through the AWS Competency Program must be validated or differentiated members of the Services Path prior to applying.

To apply, solution providers can review the Program Guide and application in AWS Partner Central (login required).
