MSP BCM One Finalizes Pure IP Acquisition, Extends Global Reach

BCM One, a portfolio company of private equity firm Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP), has completed its acquisition of Pure IP for an undisclosed sum, according to a prepared statement.

The MSP originally announced plans to purchase Pure IP in April 2023.

BCM One, founded in 1992, is based in New York, New York. The company has 234 employees listed on LinkedIn. BCM One's areas of expertise include managed connectivity, managed security and network monitoring and management.

Pure IP, founded in 2004, is based in San Francisco, California. The company has 83 employees listed on LinkedIn. Pure IP's areas of expertise include cloud-based voice services for Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex and Zoom.

What the Pure IP Acquisition Means for BCM One

Pure IP expands BCM One's NextGen Communications portfolio and allows BCM One to provide cloud-based voice for Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex and Zoom to global organizations, the companies said.

In addition, Pure IP extends BCM One's footprint in the United States and helps BCM One serve organizations in western Europe and the Asia-Pacific, the companies noted.

Geoff Bloss, BCM One's CEO, commented on the Pure IP acquisition and how it supports BCM One's global expansion:

"Pure IP's expertise migrating enterprise customers from PBX and UCaaS platforms to next-generation platforms including Microsoft Teams, Cisco and Zoom are a perfect complement to the BCM One portfolio. The global infrastructure and flexibility to design solutions from leading providers reinforces our leadership position as a NextGen Communications and managed services provider. Additionally, Pure IP's international footprint enables us to extend our platform of services to customers worldwide."

TSCP Managing Director Brian Kornmann explained how Pure IP enhances BCM One's services portfolio:

"A key strategy for BCM One, from our initial partnership in 2019, was to grow the business internationally and to expand our services to include enterprise customers. Our investment in Pure IP achieves both while further strengthening BCM One’s service offering with key partners including Zoom, Microsoft and Cisco. BCM One continues to explore opportunities which provide for inorganic scale and growth through key product, customer, and geographical growth."

BCM One Adds to Its Leadership Team

Along with finalizing its acquisition of Pure IP, BCM One in June 2023 hired Andrew Ramos as its senior director of global sales. Ramos, who has 27 years of domestic and global sales, sales leadership and business development experience in the telecommunications industry, manages BCM One's global sales team, the company said. He is expected to help this team provide voice solutions sold via channel partners or directly to IT leaders of large international companies.

BCM offers managed technology solutions for connectivity, cloud computing and network management and optimization. It also provides a partner program for telecom agents, consultants and VARs.

Meta Description: "BCM One continues to explore opportunities which provide for inorganic scale and growth through key product, customer, and geographical growth."
