Channel Brief: Kaseya Makes Multiple Product Updates

Kaseya this week announced a number of new product updates that the company said will make customers more efficient and profitable.

New product capabilities recently released include:

  • Compliance Manager GRC: New enhancements that simplify compliance for customers. Automates the risk management process, including readiness tracking and remediation guidance.
  • Autotask: The next generation of Autotask leverages AI to give customers a recap of actions taken on IT tickets to save time and improve the quality of documentation.
  • IT Glue Smart SOP Generator: Automates IT process documentation in real-time by creating SOPs effortlessly, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across teams.
  • myITprocess: New capabilities that save valuable time for IT teams by automating data gathering across platforms, like PSAs, RMMs and security tools.
  • Vonahi’s Grey Box Internal Network Penetration Testing: Allows vPenTest to pinpoint sensitive data and potential vulnerabilities accessible through user accounts to stop attackers from gaining access and causing considerable damage.

Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News

1. Novatech acquires United Office Systems: Managed office solutions provider Novatech has acquired United Office Systems (UOS), a business technology solutions provider in Atlanta, Georgia. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. This acquisition expands Novatech’s coverage area and enhances its resources, technology, and expertise, the companies said.

2. Blackwall raises €45 million Series B: Talinn, Estonia-based Blackwall, formerly known as BotGuard, has secured a €45 million Series B funding round led by Dawn Capital, with participation from existing investor MMC, Expeditions Fund, Red Dawn Ventures, and Tera Ventures, according to Arctic Startup. The company provides cybersecurity solutions for hosting and managed service providers (HSPs and MSPs), focusing on mitigating the impact of malicious bot traffic. With the new funding, Blackwall plans to expand into the U.S. and APAC markets, double its workforce, and invest in research and development for new security applications. 

3. Nasuni and CrowdStrike announce cloud data security partnership: Nasuni announced a partnership with CrowdStrike Falcon cybersecurity platform to provide enhanced cloud data protection for global enterprises. The partnership will integrate Nasuni with Falcon Next-Gen SIEM to more efficiently ingest, process, and manage syslog messages. The integration will be available on CrowdStrike Marketplace to enable real-time ransomware detection, enterprise-wide threat visibility, data recovery and streamlined data onboarding and workflows.

4. Coalition names its first CTO: Cyber insurance provider Coalition this week announced Maha Virudhagiri has been appointed as the company’s first CTO. In his new role, Virudhagiri will focus on scaling Coalition’s engineering efforts in IT, infosec, data, and AI and on making the org’s solutions more accessible for business across the globe. He comes to Coalition with 20+ years of experience. Previously, he held leadership roles at Tesla, Ancestry and Walmart Labs. Congratulations!

5. MSFT, DE-CIX partner for high-performance SaaS connectivity: Internet exchange operator DE-CIX and Microsoft are partnering to optimize cloud connectivity through the Microsoft Azure Peering Service (MAPS). MAPS bypasses the public internet, reducing network “hops” with a direct cloud connection. Microsoft and DE-CIX are partnering to ensure that even at lower speeds, connectivity and security can be optimized for certain applications (think business-critical SaaS apps) with none of the egress fees usually associated with cloud migration.
