New Charter Technologies has acquired Ann Arbor, Michigan-based MSP Dynamic Edge for an undisclosed amount.

It was a part of a big week for the company. New Charter also was recently included in the Inc 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies this week.

New Charter labeled the Dynamic Edge deal as a strategic move, both in terms of geographic reach and service offerings.Founded in 1999, Dynamic Edge provides IT solutions for various industries including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and non-profit organizations. Their offerings include 24x7 managed and co-managed IT support, cybersecurity services, custom application development, and regulatory compliance. The company has 43 employees listed on LinkedIn.

Backed by private equity firm Oval Partners, New Charter has positioned itself as a growing platform MSP, buying at least 25 MSPs and rolling them into a single organization. Recent deals have included the acquisitions of BNMC, CTSI, and Adnet Technologies, among many others.

New Charter As Platform MSP

“New Charter is an IT services platform that we built with the idea that many MSPs have built really great companies, but very few have reached a significant scale without some type of merger and acquisition strategy,” company CEO Peter Melby recently explained to ChannelE2E.

With these deals, New Charter aims to help managed service providers (MSPs) grow through strategic acquisitions while maintaining the close relationships and strong cultures that define them - all while retaining their individual brands.

Dynamic Edge Added To The Portfolio

In the case of Dynamic Edge, joining New Charter is a significant step for the company, according to its COO Mike Robins. “We’re excited about the new possibilities this partnership opens up, including sharing resources and enhancing our operations to better serve our clients,” Robins said.

The partnership provides Dynamic Edge with access to centralized services, group buying power, and enhanced recruiting capabilities, all while maintaining a strong focus on client experience, according to the company.
