Veeam Software has announced a new executive appointment. Shiva Pillay will serve as the company’s new General Manager and Senior Vice President of Americas for Veeam.
Pillay will be responsible for leading the company’s growth and business operations across the region, the company said. Prior to this appointment, Pillay was the Veeam General Manager & Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). He joined the company in 2018. During this time, he successfully led sales, channels and alliances, and pre-sales across the region, according to the company.
Pillay has spent more than 15 years in the IT industry, working across various spaces including Data Protection, Security, SaaS, and Automation. Shiva has held senior leadership positions at RSA, EMC, The SCE Group, Prevalent Inc. and SevOne.
Pillay also serves as an advisor for several start-up organizations in the U.S. and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Psychology from the University of Wollongong.
