8. M&A - Wireless Services: Corning Inc. has acquired SpiderCloud Wireless Inc., a provider of in-building wireless solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed. SpiderCloud, based in Milpitas, California, develops scalable small-cell network platforms that deliver coverage and capacity for wireless services inside buildings.
7. Microsoft Cloud Revenues: Revenue from Microsoft's cloud rose about 11 percent to $7.43 billion in the company's fiscal Q4 ended June 30. Of greatest note: Revenue from Azure nearly doubled in the quarter, Microsoft said yesterday. However, Microsoft last night shared current quarter revenues expectations that were a bit below Wall Street's expectations.

AWS Cloud Terms: Amazon.com Inc. is trying to make itself appear more friendly by eliminating a controversial clause in its cloud customer agreement contracts that has put off many companies from doing business with it, according to Silicon Angle. For several years, potential Amazon Web Services customers have chosen not to do business with the company because of a clause that prohibits them from suing it over patent infringement. Amazon has now removed that clause.
