NuMSP has now acquired six managed services providers (MSPs). The latest deal involves Ultimate Technical Solutions Inc (UTSI), an SMB IT services provider in New Orleans that serves the broader Louisiana market.
UTSI has operated for 36 years in the region. The company’s founder and president says the deal will allow it to help its customers more effectively. "With NuMSP's vision for a national managed service platform, we will be better positioned to deliver world-class services and solutions and to offer employees new avenues for career growth,” said David St. Etienne.
This is NuMSP’s sixth acquisition as it seeks to develop a national managed service platform for SMBs. These small and midsize businesses face challenges thanks to rapid technological advancements, according to NuMSP. The company believes a nationwide company with the scale and resources to deliver advanced IT services can better help those organizations compete.
Indeed, the firm has been acquiring companies at a breakneck pace. In October, NuMSP bought Network Medics, a full-service IT managed service provider in the Minneapolis-St. Paul region. In September, the company entered the Sacramento area with the buyout of Aperio IT. NuMSP acquired Columbus, Ohio-based Info-Link Technologies another New Orleans-based firm, thinkIT Solutions, both in August.
Each of the companies was a managed service provider in their own right, many of which provided various cloud services, backup, networking solutions, and more.
Based on the previous deals, it appears that the acquired companies retain their brand, management teams, and technology platforms. NuMSP has yet to disclose how the deals have been funded. ChannelE2E is seeking more information.
