Sumo Logic Moves Into Sovereign Cloud Regions in Europe

Sumo Logic is extending its platform into the AWS European Sovereign Cloud and the AWS Swiss data center to support organizations that need to keep security and operations data within national and regional boundaries. The expansion is aimed at companies building AI and cloud strategies while dealing with stricter rules around privacy, residency, and data control. Running the service inside these environments allows customers to monitor, analyze, and secure their infrastructure without moving sensitive data outside approved jurisdictions.

The shift reflects a broader change in how multinational organizations are designing their cloud and AI architectures. Many are now separating workloads by geography to meet local regulations, which adds cost and operational complexity. At the same time, AI adoption in security operations is growing, but most teams are still early in using it for automated response and triage.
