Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News

Dell and Nutanix are expanding their partnership with new hybrid cloud solutions. This includes two new solutions for simplifying hybrid cloud environments. The first is Dell XC Plus, a turnkey, hyperconverged infrastructure appliance that integrates the Nutanix Cloud Platform software stack with Dell PowerEdge Servers. Dell also announced that its PowerFlex will become the first external storage solution supported and integrated with the Nutanix Cloud Platform.

A new threat report from Resilience finds that increasing M&A and reliance on ubiquitous software vendors created new opportunities for threat actors to unleash widespread ransomware campaigns by exploiting a single point of failure. The most disruptive cyberattacks over the past year involved heavily interconnected systems or recently acquired companies, the report said.

Cisco confirmed layoff reports yesterday announcing a 7% reduction of its workforce and said it was witnessing a rebound in demand for networking equipment, but revenue was down 10% for the quarter. The San Jose, California company shared the news as part of its Q4 and fiscal year end results announcement. The company said it was restructuring its workforce to focus on cybersecurity and AI.

MSP RMM and PSA SaaS platform company Syncro announced the commercial availability of its AI-powered Smart Ticket Management solution integrated into its existing platform. The company said the system is purpose-built to enhance MSPs’ and IT professionals’ efficiency in resolving tickets. It is available to all partners on the Team Plan within its IT management platform.

All-in-one cybersecurity platform provider Guardzis offering free licenses to MSPs for its platform as part of a program called the Community Shield plan for MSPs. The offering is designed to help MSPs secure their internal operations, offering automated detection and response across identities, emails, devices, and data.
