Accenture, founded in 1989, is based in Dublin, Ireland. The company has 568,478 employees listed on LinkedIn. Accenture’s areas of expertise include artificial intelligence, cloud computing and security.

ATI, founded in 2010, is based in Perth, Australia. The company has 54 employees listed on LinkedIn. ATI’s areas of expertise include OT, mining, energy, LNG, CSG, rail, remote operations centers, integrated demand chains, automation, operational visibility, condition monitoring, mobility, asset management, MES, control systems, ERP, business intelligence, and business improvement.

Boosting Digital Engineering and Automation

The acquisition is set to bolster Accenture’s position in West Australia, according to the company, a region where there is a significant demand for specialized digital and industrial talent.

ATI is recognized for its comprehensive skill set in numerous capital projects. The firm aids its clientele in the automation of mines and rail networks, establishes intelligent maintenance workflows, analyzes field data, and refines operational procedures.

By bridging OT with enterprise IT systems, corporations can swiftly identify problems and enhance their field operations through automation, according to Accenture.

Integration to Enhance Digital Engineering Services

Following the acquisition, approximately 60 ATI employees and contractors from Perth and other Australian regions will be integrated into Accenture’s digital engineering and manufacturing service, Industry X, the company said.

This move comes as Accenture continues its expansion in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Notably, the company had previously acquired Perth's Electro 80, another OT service provider, in 2021, and has seen substantial growth in the market over recent years. Additionally, Accenture recently added US-based Anser Advisory to its portfolio, aiming to aid clients in streamlining their extensive infrastructure projects.
