Accenture Acquires Spanish Cybersecurity Firm Innotec Security

Accenture, a Top 250 MSSP and global consulting and technology company, has acquired Innotec Security for an undisclosed sum.

This is technology M&A deal number 298 that ChannelE2E and its sister site MSSP Alert have covered so far in 2023.

Accenture, founded in 1989, is based in Dublin, Ireland. The company has 541,251 associated members listed on LinkedIn. Accenture's areas of expertise include artificial intelligence, data and analytics and security.

Innotec, founded in 2002, is based in Madrid, Spain. The company is not currently listed on LinkedIn. Innotec's areas of expertise include cybersecurity as a service, cyber risk management and cyber resilience.

Accenture Extends Reach in Spain's Cybersecurity Market

As MSSP Alert's Dan Kobialka reported, Innotec's 500 cybersecurity professionals will join Accenture Security, which maintains a global workforce of 20,000 security professionals. In doing so, Innotec will help make Accenture Security one of the largest MSSPs in Spain, the companies said.

In addition, Innotec enhances Accenture's ability to provide Spanish organizations with cybersecurity skills and expertise, the companies stated. It enables Accenture to deliver a wide range of managed security services to these organizations, including:

  • Threat simulation, detection and response
  • Incident management
  • Cyber intelligence
  • Infrastructure and application security
  • Cyber risk assessment
  • Security consulting

Accenture Adds to Its Security Portfolio

As MSSP Alert reported, with the Innotec transaction, Accenture has completed 19 security-related transactions dating back to 2015. These transactions include:

  • 6point6, a UK technology consultancy that specializes in cloud, data and cybersecurity
  • MNEMO Mexico, which provides managed security services to organizations in Mexico
  • Morphus, which offers cyber defense, risk management and threat intelligence services
  • Sentor, a Swedish MSSP and cyber defense services provider
  • Openminded, an MSSP and cybersecurity consulting services company

Accenture offers cyber strategy, protection and resilience services via Accenture Security. These services are available to global organizations.
