Accenture Acquires Cygni for Cloud, Mobile and Full-Stack Software Development

Accenture is acquiring Cygni, a cloud, mobile and full-stack software development in Sweden that specializes in user experience (UX) outcomes. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cygni, founded in 2006, has approximately 190 software developers (pictured above) who provide IT consulting and implementation services. Areas of expertise, according to the Cygni website, include:

  • Full stack web development (javascript, React, Node.js);
  • Mobile app design and development (React, React Native, Swift, Kotlin);
  • fFont end design and development (JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue); and
  • UX-design and project management.

Cygni serves such vertical markets as finance, telecom, gaming and retail. With headquarters in Stockholm, Cygni has offices across Sweden including Gothenburg, Linkoping, Malmoe, Lulea and Ostersund, as well as an office in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The deal aligns with the Accenture Cloud First initiative -- which unifies 70,000 employees who are focused on cloud computing projects and services for customers.
