Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News
1. Help for VMware refugees - Rimini Street, Inc., a global provider of end-to-end enterprise software support, products and services, including third-party support provider for Oracle and SAP software, and a Salesforce and AWS partner, is rolling out help for VMware customers. The company has launched Rimini Support, Rimini Protect and Rimini Consult for VMware products, in a first-of-its-kind, comprehensive third-party offering.Rimini Street services for VMware will allow perpetually-licensed VMware customers to continue running their current systems for years into the future – with Rimini Street’s support services that includes guaranteed priority support response by an engineer 24/7/365 in 10 minutes or less. The standard pricing for Rimini Street Support for VMware products is similar to the current support fees each perpetual licensee is paying VMware.
2. High Wire Earnings - High Wire Networks, Inc. a global provider of managed cybersecurity and technology enablement, reported total revenue of $7.7 million for the quarter ended March 31, up 57% sequentially but 25% lower than the year-ago quarter reflecting the company’s strategic transition last year to focus on a greater mix of higher margin recurring revenue, particularly Overwatch managed cybersecurity. Sequential growth also reflects recovery from a transitory industry downturn in the technology enablement business in Q4 2023. Net loss from continuing operations in the first quarter of 2024 totaled $414,000. Adjusted EBITDA was $674,000. Monthly recurring revenue was approximately $1.0 million by quarter-end or $12.0 million on an annualized basis. Total contract value (TCV) for Overwatch managed cybersecurity services totaled $10.4 million at March 31, 2024, as compared to $5.1 million at March 31, 2023.
3. Pax8 adds another vendor - Pax8 cloud commerce marketplace is teaming with Perception Point to offer the company’s Advanced Threat Prevention solutions to partners with threat prevention for email, Microsoft 365 collaboration apps (Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive), and web browsers from one platform. The solutions include Perception Point’s 24/7 managed incident response service.
4. N-able - N-able, Inc. is working with MSPAlliance to help equip MSPs to meet compliance requirements by proactively using MSPAlliance’s Cyber Verify program. The program helps MSPs identify and adhere to industry standards, stand up and grow a Compliance-as-a-Service practice, and comply with cyber-regulations. The program also offers N-able partners a customized experience, helping them understand how to potentially utilize the N-able solutions in their tech stack to strengthen their compliance initiatives.
5. New MSP Program - TD Synnex, a leading global distributor and solutions aggregator for the IT ecosystem, has launched MSP Evolve, an aggregation of its resources and tools specifically designed to optimize operational excellence and accelerate business growth for the unique needs of managed service providers (MSPs). The program will initially be available for North American MSPs.
6. Hurry Up, Cloud MSPs!
