Cisco Systems Partner InterVision Acquires DRaaS Provider Bluelock

InterVision has acquired Bluelock, a Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) specialist. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“Bluelock is an accomplished provider and one of the most sought after brands in the fast-growing DRaaS space,” said Aaron Stone, president and CEO of InterVision, in a prepared statement. “Bluelock has built a top-notch organization with an industry leading DRaaS solution, a loyal client base, and exceptional customer satisfaction. This acquisition positions InterVision to better address the changing needs of our clients in today’s high-uptime and compliance-driven IT marketplace.”

Bluelock appeared in the 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service. The company has successfully completed the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II certification for its managed cloud hosting and recovery solutions for nine consecutive years.

InterVision M&A Experience

InterVision has been a Cisco Systems partner since 1997, maintaining Gold Partner status for the past decade. Key focus areas include Cisco's Cloud and Managed Services Master designations.  Recent hires include Tom Holt as Vice President, Sales West Region, and Victor Tingler as Vice President, Digital Transformation.

InterVision received private equity funding in 2016, and has been inking M&A deals ever since. Example transactions include:

  • The December 2017 buyout of Independent Technology Group (ITG), an integrator of networking, storage and security solutions based in Westlake Village, California. ITG serves clients locally to internationally, from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies across a broad variety of vertical markets, InterVision indicated at the time.
  • The June 2017 merger with Netelligent Corp., a provider of Hybrid IT solutions.
