Franchisor NerdsToGo Plans Chicago Expansion

NerdsToGo, an IT solutions and technology repair services franchisor, is expanding its presence in the Chicago area.

Franchisees provide services to the small business and consumer market for technology repairs and IT solutions. The company says it is looking to open 20 new franchises in the region and is hoping to attract aspiring entrepreneurs to own and operate the locations.

NerdsToGo’s expansion in the Chicagoland area comes on the heels of what the company describes as its most successful year of development.

This expansion is part of NerdsToGo's growth strategy following what it calls the successful opening of its first two locations in the Chicago market in 2023.

Strategic Growth in the Midwest

NerdsToGo is an IT services franchise brand offering solutions for small to medium-sized businesses and individuals. It is owned by Propelled Brands.

With the establishment of the NerdsToGo Downtown Chicago and NerdsToGo Crystal Lake locations, the brand is actively searching for qualified franchisees. These owner-operators will play a crucial role in continuing the brand's development within this important market, the company said.

Company and Franchisee Perspectives

Paul Ongioni, owner of NerdsToGo Chicago Downtown - Magnificent Mile, commented:

"Being able to solve real-world problems, empower businesses with technology, and contribute to community growth is incredibly rewarding. Investing in NerdsToGo presented an opportunity to combine my passions and expertise in a way that directly impacts small to medium-sized businesses."

Mark Jameson, Chief Development Officer at Propelled Brands, parent company of NerdsToGo, also commented on the expansion:

"Owning your own business is becoming an increasingly appealing avenue for entrepreneurs, particularly for those with a background in technology sales amid widespread layoffs in the industry. Paul Ongioni and Rick Stabile are already proving the success of NerdsToGo in the Chicagoland market. I look forward to expanding NerdsToGo’s footprint across the greater Chicago area as we build on a growing momentum of development."
