Data center support specialist Park Place Technologies has acquired a network operations center (NOC) business from IntelliNet, as part of a DMSO (discover, monitor, support, optimize) strategy. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Explaining the NOC acquisition, Park Place Technologies Chris Adams said:
“Adding NOC capabilities to our portfolio, which includes Parkview and Entuity Network Analytics (ENA), furthers our mission to help customers discover, monitor, support and optimize their data centers. Now we offer our customers an aggregated service delivery platform with the ability to monitor and remediate hardware, networks, operating systems and applications.”
Park Place of Mayfield Heights, Ohio, has made 13 acquisitions since 2016, including deals in 2019 to buy Entuity in August and UK-based MCSA Group Limited in April. Acquisitions in 2018 included Latin America-based CMG-Nicsa, Singapore-based Axentel Technologies and Houston-based Solid Systems CAD Services (SSCS), the company says.
Park Place now has more than 17,000 customers, and delivers services across 58,000 data centers in more than 150 countries.
Park Place itself was acquired in 2016 by GTCR. In July 2019, GTCR sold at least a portion of its stake to private equity backer Charlesbank Capital Partners of Boston.
M&A activity involving NOC businesses pops up from time to time in the IT channel. Most notably, ConnectWise acquired Continuum, an MSP-focused NOC provider, in October 2019.
