Cincinnati Bell Inc. has deployed FinancialForce Professional Services Automation (PSA) for at least 1,400 employees. It's the latest sign of FinancialForce's apparent momentum with larger service providers.
In Cincinnati Bell's case, the majority of PSA users work remotely and leverage FinancialForce for instant on-the-go time and expense entry. The telco did not disclose when the PSA deployment began. Among the potential benefits: Improved utilization rates, according to Cincinnati Bell CIO Kevin Murray.
FinancialForce is tightly integrated with Salesforce.com, and one of Salesforce's fastest-growing ISVs. Under new CEO Tod Nielsen, FinancialForce is aggressively pushing beyond PSA to promote cloud ERP solutions -- essentially competing with Oracle's NetSuite and SAP Business ByDesign. True believers include HP Enterprise's technology services organization, which confirmed FinancialForce adoption earlier this year.
Generally speaking, FinancialForce has midmarket and enterprise momentum with some service providers, professional services firms and IT consulting shops. In contrast, PSA providers like Autotask and ConnectWise have aggressively pursued technology service providers, VARs and MSPs in the SMB sector.
