Evolve IP has acquired Cardiff, UK-based cloud communications provider and Cisco BroadSoft partner thevoicefactory Ltd.
The buyout is part of Evolve IP’s ongoing market development strategy and will provide the company with additional distribution channels in the UK and Europe, a significant client base, and more headway into the hospitality, automotive, finance, and legal verticals, the company says.
Thevoicefactory, founded in 2009, has more than 65,000 users in 21 countries as part of its private label program. All of thevoicefactory’s current 35 resellers will gain access to Evolve IP’s intellectual property an service delivery capabilities, which includes web-based call management, an advanced omnichannel contact center, single-sign-on identity and access management, and Evolve IP’s worldwide team of application developers, the company asserts.
Additionally, Evolve IP will open offices in Fordingbridge, UK and Orlando, Florida as well as gain new data centers in the UK and United States.
Evolve IP and thevoicefactory each share a common architecture and framework through Cisco Systems' BroadSoft platform. The company believes this will allow rapid adoption of new features and capabilities for existing clients.
Evolve IP’s Strategy
Thevoicefactory is one of the largest UCaaS providers in the UK and one of BroadSoft’s biggest wholesalers in Europe. The deal is in fitting with other recent moves from Evolve IP. The firm recently bought cloud communications firm Mtel to push its expansion in Western Europe.
Indeed, Evolve has been buying up a lot of businesses since announcing a $100 million war chest dedicated to acquiring other MSPs and CSPs in May 2016. At the time, private equity firm Great Hill Partners acquired a majority stake in Evolve. The company has made around a dozen other purchases in recent years.
It’s all part of Evolve IP’s strategy to become a hub for virtualized desktops, servers, applications, and data centers. Already, Evolve provides cloud solutions to more than 1,500 enterprises and to more than 410,000 users in many industries, including healthcare, finance, veterinary, legal, construction, technology, and more.
