Microsoft has acquired Mover, a software platform that eases cloud file migrations to Office 365, the two companies disclosed today.
Mover supports migration from over a dozen cloud service providers – including Box, Dropbox, Egnyte, and Google Drive – into Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint, according to Microsoft's Jeff Teper. The result is "seamless file collaboration across Microsoft 365 apps and services, including the Office apps and Microsoft Teams," he added.
The technology can also transfer files to the Microsoft cloud services from companies’ on-premises data centers, CNBC notes.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
