NXTsoft, a Birmingham, Alabama-based compliance, analytics, and cybersecurity firm, has acquired Digitel Corporation, an MSP from Atlanta, Georgia.
Founded in 1983, Digitel provides communication and networking solutions for SMBs concentrated in the Southeastern United States. The company’s focus is on security and communication services.
The acquisition provides NXTsoft with an additional $6 million in annual revenue and adds 32 employees to the company.
Digitel founder and CEO Bryan C.W. Tate will retire following the acquisition. Jason Asbury, the current president of NXTsoft’s ThreatAdvice business unit will helm Digitel, the company said. NXTsoft says it plans to retain all current employees and will begin cross-selling its ThreatAdvice Security Services to Digitel’s existing 600 clients.

NXTsoft’s Acquisitions
NXTsoft has made multiple acquisitions, including:
- Earlier this month the company acquired Integrated Legacy Solutions (ILS), an image and data conversion migration technology company for the financial services industry. ILS is also from Birmingham.
- In December 2018, NXTsoft bought Memphis-based Echo Partners LLC to bolster its risk management solutions business.
