MSP Acquisition: NexusTek Buys Notonsite

Nationwide managed IT service provider NexusTek, backed by private equity firm Abry Partners, has acquired Notonsite, a cloud-centric MSP in Houston, Texas focused on customers with roughly 10 to 250 computers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The announcement comes roughly one week after NexusTek disclosed a CEO transition from Mike Jenner to Optiv Security veteran Bill Wosilius. Jenner exited to pursue other opportunities, the company said at the time.

Founded in 2010, Notonsite is a certified Cisco Partner and Microsoft Partner. The company offers cloud assessment, design and implementation, managed hosting, private cloud, backup and disaster recovery, and business continuity services, NexusTek said in a prepared statement. The team is also adept at working with platforms like Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365, and Cisco Meraki, just to name a few, according to the company.

Notonsite’s 20 employees will join NexusTek, a spokesperson told ChannelE2E.

Mike Hamuka, NexusTek CRO, commented on the deal:

“Providing better services to businesses in local markets across the country is a distinct characteristic for NexusTek. With Notonsite’s strong track record of ensuring business continuity, network performance and cloud services, this acquisition directly benefits customers by enhancing the scope and reach of NexusTek’s award-winning cloud, managed IT services and cyber security solutions.”

Alex Feuer Notonsite CEO, also commented:

“Over the past several years, NexusTek has thrived while other service providers have faded away due to their inability to scale. We are excited to join this winning team. For our customers and businesses across the country, working with NexusTek will bring a peace of mind by knowing you’ve partnered with an elite managed IT services provider that can scale, and has an expert team and breadth of technology to support growth.”

NexusTek Acquisitions, Growth, Evolution

NexusTek is a familiar name in the M&A market. In August of 2018, the company acquired three IT services providers to help expand its MSP, IT consultation, and professional services business. Another deal involved Zumasys.

More recently, in June 2019, NexusTek unveiled a nationwide suite of managed services solutions designed for SMBs to help simplify their offerings, pricing, and lack of skilled IT personnel.

NexusTek grew more than 100 percent last year, though ChannelE2E doesn’t know actual revenue or profit figures. The company has 300 employees who support 2,700 customer organizations across 47 states.
