A. Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News

1. Automation and AI for MSPs - MSP platform provider ConnectWise is hosting Automation Nation 2024 February 5-6 and 8-9 at its headquarters in Tampa, Florida. We’re expecting some news out of this event soon. Stay tuned.

2. Investing in the MSFT 365 Channel - Microsoft 365 management platform provider CoreView increased channel sales by 300% in 2023, the company said, and continues to invest in its channel and MSP programs. Over the last year CoreView has launched a new partner program, has added key executives to support partners, and acquired Simeon Cloud. 

3. Strength for remote control software - Remote control software developer TeamViewer reported preliminary results that were higher than analyst expectations. Quarterly revenue rose 8% from the same period a year ago. (Reuters)

4. IT services weak? - Cognizant, however, provided a lower than expected forecast for 2024 and said demand for IT services was weak. The IT services and consulting company reported a 0.3% decline in revenue year over year (constant currency) and projected flat revenue for 2024.

5. Tech firm cuts sales jobs - DocuSign will lay off 6% of its workforce, or about 400 employees. Most of these layoffs will be in the company’s sales and marketing organizations, the company said in a regulatory filing. Private equity firms Bain Capital and Hellman & Friedman, which had been pursuing a deal to buy Docusign, had cooled off their pursuit of the deal, according to a Reuters report.
