Here's what we're looking at today: Google is adding discounts and other incentives in partnership with Broadcom to entice VMware Cloud Foundations users to move their workloads to Google Cloud Platform.

ServiceNow is allying with Boomi to use AI and API management to improve customer experience, Mimecast has acquired Code42, Stellar Cyber is teaming up with Judy Security to protect SMBs, and Abstract Security co-founder Chris Camacho returns to the company in an operational role.

1. ServiceNow and Boomi Team Up on AI and API Management: ServiceNow announced a new partnership with Boomi to improve customer experiences through AI-powered solutions. Boomi will use ServiceNow App Engine to elevate customer support, and ServiceNow will integrate Boomi’s API management capabilities with Automation Engine. Boomi’s use of the Now Platform and ServiceNow’s AI-powered TPSM offering will transform its customer support and expand self-service capabilities. ServiceNow’s use of Boomi’s API management solutions will help deepen ServiceNow’s suite of intelligent automation solutions to streamline experiences for application creators, the companies said.

2. Mimecast Acquires Code42: Risk management platform provider Mimecast has acquired Code42, an insider threat management and data loss prevention firm. Code42 provides insider threat management and data loss prevention capabilities native to the cloud. The two firms already had an existing technology partnership, so the deal will add Code42's solutions to Mimecast's platform to better identify and address insider threats. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

3. Abstract Security Names Chris Camacho to COO Role:  Abstract Security today announced that Chris Camacho has joined the company as chief operating officer (COO). Camacho was one of Abstract’s co-founders, and helped launch and advise the company since its inception. Now, his role will become operational as he leads a strategic global market expansion. Camacho is an entrepreneur, investor, and advisor with more than 25 years of cybersecurity leadership experience, including roles at The World Bank, Bank of America, Flashpoint and others. Camacho has spearheaded initiatives across operational strategy, incident response, threat management and security operations to ensure cyber risk postures align with business goals. Camacho earned a BS degree in Decision Sciences & Management of Information Systems from George Mason University. Congratulations!

4. Google Cloud Adds Incentives to Encourage VMware Migration: In a blog post last week, Google Cloud's Manoj Sharma and Ash Ashutosh announced the availability of VMware Cloud Foundations on Google Cloud, as well as cost savings and incentives aimed at enticing customers to move their workloads. Google announced general availability of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) with ~20% lower commitment pricing, license portability entitlement support for VCF on GCVE, multiple new GCVE node types for different workload requirements, commercial incentives up to 40% of GCVE first-year spend as additional migration and consumption incentives, along with no-fee proof of concepts and trials and convertible commitments supporting movement mid-term between different GCVE node types and other compute platforms like Compute Engine and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

5. Stellar Cyber Partners With Judy Security on SMB Cybersecurity: Stellar Cyber announced a strategic partnership with Judy Security to leverage Judy's AI assistant to provide affordable and accessible cybersecurity solutions for SMBs, the companies said. Stellar Cyber's Open XDR platform offers comprehensive security insights across an organization's entire IT infrastructure. When combined with Judy Security's AI-powered assistant, the partnership offers SMBs a powerful and user-friendly solution to combat cybersecurity threats.
