Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News
1. Auvik Joins Pax8 Marketplace: Pax8, the leading cloud commerce marketplace, has officially welcomed Auvik to the Pax8 Marketplace. This collaboration enables partners to provide businesses with Auvik’s advanced network monitoring solutions so they can proactively address their evolving IT requirements. Auvik's cloud-based software is great for partner network monitoring as it is user-friendly and has a deployment time of under an hour, the company said. By mapping and navigating the network, monitoring performance, troubleshooting, and analyzing network traffic—all tailored to specific business needs—partners can provide clients with an expanded array of services. In addition, Auvik SaaS Management - a tool providing deep visibility into an organization's SaaS environment - will be available through the Pax8 Marketplace later this year.
2. WatchGuard Releases Internet Security Report: WatchGuard Technologies released findings from its latest Internet Security Report, which details global data analyzed by WatchGuard’s Threat Lab research team throughout the first quarter of 2024. The report details the latest trends in malware, network and endpoint security, including some interesting findings around malware targeting business' smart TVs. 3. ITCM Acquires Value Logic to Expand Service Offerings: ITCM, a San Diego-based leading technology solution provider, announced today the acquisition of Value Logic, Inc., an IT managed service provider (MSP), to further strengthen its diverse service offerings. This is the fourth MSP that ITCM has acquired, and one poised to solidify the company as a trusted outsourced partner for network, cloud, infrastructure management, software development and security expertise. With a strong company culture and emphasis on collaboration, ITCM has expanded from a modest MSP to a one-stop industry leader focused on empowering people and companies to grow. The acquisition of Value Logic expands the ITCM team’s experience and depth of knowledge, adding IQMS implementation and maintenance expertise to its offerings, the firms said. With this, ITCM has the capabilities, culture, integrity and human capital to meet customers' evolving needs and continue expanding. Carlsbad-based Value Logic, which for 25 years has optimized IT infrastructures by providing efficient, secure and affordable IT services including voice/data support, data management, boosted security and round-the-clock IT support, complements ITCM and the company’s core values.
4. IFT Launches Operational Assessment Tool for MSPs: Integrated Financial Technologies (IFT) is launching a new Operational Assessments program for the channel. IFT is a business process outsourcing (BPO) company that can do comprehensive operational assessments of an MSP’s business customers. The assessment is a white-labeled, billable service through which channel partners can reap margins as high as 18%, and could lead to longer-term projects based on the assessment results, the company said. Here's how it works: IFT sends a team of business process efficiency experts to review the end-customer’s processes, workflows, and infrastructure, providing evaluations on how to optimize productivity. IFT then provides recommendations for improving outcomes and reducing operating costs. One of the objectives is to potentially deliver ongoing BPO services through the MSP.
5. Torq Names New CRO: AI-driven hyperautomation company Torq announced this week that Josh Morris is the company's new chief revenue officer. Morris has more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity sales leadership, and the company said he will be a critical force in scaling Torq as it expands and maximizes pipeline, pursues geographic expansion and enters new vertical markets. Morris previously served as SVP of global sales at Torq, helping the company achieve a record-breaking 300% revenue and 500% customer growth in 2023. Before joining Torq, he held leadership roles at Splunk, Palo Alto Networks and more. Congratulations!
