IBM and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have teamed up to bring a new solution to market to help clients on AWS environments address cloud security concerns, the companies said.

The new solution, IBM Autonomous Security for Cloud, uses generative AI with Amazon Bedrock to automate cloud security management and decision-making to help mitigate risk for organizations accelerating their digital transformation journey.

Why is IBM ASC important? Research shows misconfigurations and compliance failures are the top threats impacting organizations in cloud computing environments. And in a technology landscape where security is non-negotiable, according to IBM and AWS, maintaining compliance and security can be complex, especially in highly regulated industries such as financial services, manufacturing and the public sector where legacy, labor-intensive compliance processes can be slow to evolve to rapidly changing cloud infrastructures and the strict regulatory standards required to protect data.

With that insight, IBM developed Autonomous Security for Cloud to deliver an easier way to manage and enforce security and compliance tasks using generative AI and automation.
