A. Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News

1. NinjaOne scores competitive win - TeamLogic IT, a network of MSPs, is moving from Kaseya to NinjaOne for IT remote management of more than 100,000 endpoints. The company said that it will use NinjaOne to automate critical tasks, such as patch management and software deployment, monitoring and alerting, proactive remediation and secure remote access. NinjaOne just raised $231.5 million in a series C round.

2. Recapitalization - Blue Alliance, an operator-led MSP collective funded by private equity, has completed a growth recapitalization transaction with Prairie Capital. Prairie Capital's investment will enable Blue Alliance to accelerate its growth strategy and offer more MSP owners “the opportunity to be part of a strong, supportive community focused on scaling and shared success.”

3. Singapore, Hong Kong acquisition - Smart IMS Inc., a Singapore based managed service and unified communications provider, has completed the acquisition of Hong Kong-based global IT service provider IT Consulting Solutions (ITCS Group). The deal will strengthen Smart IMS’s position in provisioning infrastructure management, virtualization, digital transformation services, and IT-managed services to a large client base in the Asia Pacific region. 4. Australia, New Zealand acquisition - Orro has announced the acquisition of Wellington-based managed services provider Liquid IT, marking the company’s first expansion outside of Australia. Founded in 2015, Liquid IT offers cyber security, managed services, cloud and connectivity solutions to customers in New Zealand's government, transport and public services sectors. This is deal number 39 covered by ChannelE2E and MSSP alert in 2024.

5. Accenture deal - Accenture is acquiring Insight Sourcing, a provider of strategic sourcing and procurement services  that specializes in private equity customers. The deal also includes Insight Energy, an energy procurement and management business. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
