Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News

1. SaaS Alerts Adds Microsoft Defender to its Platform: MSP-focused SaaS security platform provider SaaS Alerts today announced the integration of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint into its SaaS security platform. Integrating Defender into the SaaS Alerts platform provides MSPs with a single pane to view Microsoft's Identity monitoring, Microsoft 365 application suite and the endpoint detection and response (EDR) solution, the company said. SaaS Alerts CEO Jim Lippie said this level of visibility will help MSPs ensure comprehensive endpoint security, reduce the risk of data breaches, and improve the overall security posture of MSPs' SMB clients.

2. SecurityScorecard Partners With Grip on SaaS Security: SecurityScorecard is making its second partnership announcement this week -- this time with SaaS identity risk management firm Grip Security. This collaboration offers the industry's first combined risk ratings for both SaaS vendor risk and enterprise identity risks to offer one of the most complete views of SaaS risks in an enterprise, the companies said. The partnership will enable organizations to perform comprehensive risk assessments, measure vendor risk for shadow SaaS, measure identity risks for managed SaaS and more.

3. Vilijan Partners With Cribl to Secure Data Management: Vijilan Security, a leading provider of managed security services, announced a strategic partnership with security data management solutions firm Cribl. The collaboration between Vijilan Security and Cribl creates an ideal environment to address growing enterprise IT and security data management challenges. Cribl’s vendor-agnostic product suite is purpose-built for IT and security, the companies said. Cribl Stream, the industry’s leading observability pipeline, enables customers to collect, transform, enrich and route data from any source or to any destination.

4. Cybersixgill Introduces Pulse, a Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Stream: CTI data provider Cybersixgill announced today Cybersixgill Pulse, which delivers personalized, streamed CTI content, individualized to each user according to relevance, usage patterns, interests, sector and geography. Cybersixgill Pulse works in a similar way to consumer entertainment streaming services, the company said -- based on user data, Cybersixgill Pulse streams CTI content curated and tailored to the specific needs of each security professional user.

5. Cyware Names New CISO: Threat intelligence firm Cyware last week announced it appointed Terrence Driscoll as the company's new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Driscoll most recently served as managing director, global head of security and controls assurance for JP Morgan Chase & Company, where he led a global team responsible for security architecture, security testing, technology resiliency and control management. He brings deep knowledge of cyber operations, threat intelligence, security assurance and resiliency to Cyware. Driscoll will be responsible for product and internal security and will be working with Cyware’s customers and partners to drive adoption of cyber fusion center platforms, the company said. Congratulations!
