Channel Brief: Service Provider Acquisitions Round Out 2024

Accenture is acquiring IQT Group, an Italy-based provider of engineering managed services for large infrastructure projects.

The deal will enable the combination of Accenture’s generative AI and digital capabilities with IQT’s infrastructure projects expertise to help clients plan, execute and manage “net-zero” infrastructure projects. These are large-scale developments or upgrades designed to achieve net-zero emissions.

Accenture said that the combination will achieve greater efficiency in such projects.

1. Another acquisition - Global business and technology consulting firm West Monroe has acquired Inspired Health, a Boston-based life sciences market insights and commercial strategy consultancy. The deal will expand West Monroe’s life sciences and private equity capabilities and grow its team. In addition the deal will increase West Monroe’s revenue in Life Sciences by 30%. As a result of the acquisition, West Monroe will officially establish an office in Boston – expanding its global footprint to 11 locations. This is West Monroe’s first acquisition in nearly three years.

2. Software-defined data center momentum - The software defined data center market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19.8% by 2034. That’s according to a new report from Polaris Market Research. The company said the rising demand for virtualization to simplify business operations is fueling the adoption of software-defined data centers.

3. MSP wins private equity investment - Missouri-based MSP Frontline Managed Services, which specializes in the legal vertical market, has secured a private equity investment from Broad Sky Partners. Characterized as a partnership, the deal aims to accelerate Frontline’s growth and bolster its service offerings worldwide. 4. Channel chief departs - Craig Patterson the Aryaka VP of global sales who is the architect behind the SASE company’s channel program over the last several years is departing, according to a report.

5. MSP rebrands - Salt Lake City MSP Rock Mountain Technology is rebranding as Tech Legion. CEO Jeremy Roos said in a statement that the new name “truly reflects who we are and what we stand for. Our team consists of dedicated technology legionnaires, ready to tackle any challenge or meet any need our clients bring to us.”
