Good morning, folks, and happy Wednesday!
Are you familiar with CISA's Secure by Design pledge? If you're not, it's a voluntary pledge made by companies focused on enterprise software products and services, including on-premises software, cloud services, and software as a service (SaaS). Companies pledge that they will make a good-faith effort to work toward achieving seven specific cybersecurity goals -- MFA, default passwords, reducing entire classes of vulnerability, security patches, vulnerability disclosure, CVEs and evidence of intrusions -- and then committing to radical transparency by publicly stating their progress toward (or failure to achieve) those goals. N-able has signed on to the pledge, becoming the only vendor with an ecosystem focused on MSPs -- according to N-able. Will we soon see ConnectWise, Kaseya and others take the pledge? What do you think?

Today’s Tech, Channel and MSP News
1. NCC Group Partners With CyCognito on ASM: NCC Group has added CyCognito’s technology to its Attack Surface Management (ASM) portfolio to help clients discover all of their externally facing assets and secure vulnerable exposure points that attackers can most easily exploit. Through NCC Group’s External Attack Surface Management (EASM) solution, part of its Unified Cyber Platform managed service, enabled by CyCognito technology, NCC Group’s experts view an organization’s external facing assets from an attacker’s perspective. That can help continuously map the attack surface and identity potential exploits and then recommend remediation activities based on what is of highest risk and priority.
2. OneTrust Names Roger Egan to CRO Role: Trust intelligence solutions firm OneTrust announced that Roger Egan is the company's new chief revenue officer (CRO). In this role, Egan will lead global go-to-market strategy and execution and guide worldwide sales, services and other go-to-market operations, including its partner organization. Egan joins OneTrust from VMware Tanzu, where he significantly contributed to the company’s go-to-market strategy and revenue growth. Prior to VMware, he held senior leadership roles at Red Hat and Docker, where he played pivotal roles in expanding market reach and enhancing customer satisfaction. Now at OneTrust, he will focus on scaling OneTrust’s market presence and accelerating its growth trajectory. Congratulations!
3. Enzoic Launches New Partner Program: Identity and credential security and dark web monitoring firm Enzoic has launched a new partner program. The Enzoic Global Partner Program gives participants access to Enzoic’s threat intelligence solutions which continuously monitor the dark web for newly exposed sensitive data—preventing hackers from exploiting this information. Enzoic addresses compromised passwords and credentials, exposed PII, payment card fraud and other identity-focused threats, according to a statement from the company. The Enzoic Global Partner Program currently has sixty members and focuses on data partnerships with software providers, resellers and VARs and MSPs/MSSPs, the company said.
4. CloudScale365 Acquires Zthernet: Managed IT services company CloudScale365 has acquired Zthernet, an MSP based in Irving, Texas, servicing the Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston (DASH) markets. Zthernet's provides flat-fee managed IT services for small businesses, including network management, cybersecurity, cloud services and IT support. The deal will complement CloudScale365's comprehensive service offerings and is part of CloudScale365's expansion strategy, focusing on customer concentration in key regional markets. In addition to mergers on the East and West coasts, CloudScale365 acquired its Tulsa, Oklahoma, location in 2022. CloudScale365 has eight regional offices and four data centers, servicing over 3,300 clients worldwide, the company said.
5. N-able Signs CISA Secure-by-Design Pledge: N-able has announced it officially signed the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Secure By Design Pledge. N-able was part of the first group of companies committed to the pledge, and, according to a statement from the company, is currently the only vendor signed up with an ecosystem focused on MSPs. The CISA pledge is taken by companies who are committed to making a good-faith effort to work toward increased security and transparency within the next year. Signing the CISA pledge also highlights added safeguarding N-able is placing on its MSP partners’ data and the products and services they offer to their customers.
