ConnectWise has announced its new integration with Microsoft

The integration brings together ConnectWise MDR™ and Microsoft's security solutions aimed at small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The primary goal of the collaboration is to improve cybersecurity management globally, the company said. The partnership incorporates ConnectWise MDR and Microsoft Defender for Business, available as both a standalone product and within Microsoft 365 Business Premium.

The partnership aims to assist managed service providers (MSPs) of all sizes by offering a cost-effective cybersecurity solution. As a result, MSPs can now supply SMBs with cybersecurity and business solutions tailored to their needs, ConnectWise announced.

Key Features of the Integration

  • Incorporation of Microsoft's Microsoft Defender for Business into ConnectWise MDR.
  • 24 x 365 dedicated security operations center (SOC) support, automated threat detection, and a team of over 200 security analysts.
  • Combination of Microsoft’s threat intelligence with ConnectWise Cyber Research Unit™ (CRU) focused on MSPs and SMBs.
  • Integration into the ConnectWise platform, aiming for improved IT management and efficiency.
  • Recent research conducted by Forrester, commissioned by Microsoft, indicated that 85% of MSPs view security as a growth area, while 64% of SMBs favor comprehensive cybersecurity solutions. Additional data reveals that 94% of SMBs might consider switching to a provider offering a more complete security solution, highlighting the significance of such integrations.
