Converge Technology Partners Inc. has acquired Northern Micro Inc., uniting two key IT solutions providers from Canada. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Converge is building a "national platform of regionally focused IT infrastructure firms in the U.S. and Canada by connecting best of breed services and solutions to clients."
Northern Micro's focus areas include enterprise IT solutions, professional services, endpoint devices and valued-adde services. The company has approximately 65 employees, according to Northern Micro's website. Key partners include Intel, Microsoft, Dell EMC, HP Enterprise, HP Inc. and Cisco Systems, according to the site.
Under Converge's ownership, Northern Micro will "continue its strategy of providing best of breed technology solutions from the endpoint to the data center for its customers in the Canadian Federal Government and Education Sector," the companies said.
Herman Yeh, president of Northern Micro, will continue in his current position along with Northern Micro's senior management team.
Converge sounds impressed with Northern Micro's supply chain expertise -- particularly the company's warehouse configuration, imaging, and asset tagging capabilities. The company's 6,000 square foot configuration and assembly center follows a "rigorous quality management system with ISO 9001:2008 certification," Northern Micro asserts.
