ExcelRedstone is acquiring Kedington Ltd -- which claims to be one of the UK’s largest IT services providers.
Ireland’s Kedington brings its IT network infrastructure solutions to the fold, with offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Derry, Belfast and Copenhagen. The company’s sales rose more than 50 percent from the previous year in 2017, while it made more than US$1.2 million in pre-tax profits.
ExcelRedstone is itself the UK’s largest pure play physical IT infrastructure, network, and connectivity companies. The company was formed this year when Excel IT ltd acquired Redstone Converged Solutions and Commensus from Redstone Connect.
The acquisition will see ExcelRedstone bolster its market position in the UK and Ireland, while expanding its presence in mainland Europe and beyond, the company asserts.
In a prepared statement, ExcelRedstone CEO Barry Horgan said:
“By bringing these businesses together we are creating a market-leading company that will offer a well-established customer base a wider range of services and an even greater degree of excellence, as we leverage all the expertise within the expanded group."
Added Matt Porter, Kedington managing director:
“This agreement means Kedington will be better placed than ever to meet the expanding service and scale requirements of Ireland’s increasingly global economy."
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
