Apps on Tap and Paradigm are actually one business -- though branded separately and located in North York, Ontario. The deal allows F12 to establish a stronger presence in the Greater Toronto Area, the company said.

This is by no means F12’s first foray into the M&A game. The company purchased Sitkum IT Managed Services in January 2018 and OnDeck Solutions last year. Each of these deals has helped the company grow its presence in various regions across Canada.

In this latest deal, both Apps on Tap and Paradigm will continue to operate independently but will leverage F12’s offerings, vendor partnerships, and data centre capabilities, the company said. That approach will be beneficial to all involved, according to F12.net CEO Alex Webb. He added:

“Apps on Tap and Paradigm created an innovative platform that helps organizations rapidly migrate legacy services to cloud-based technology. We are excited to gain both Apps on Tap’s cloud services and Paradigm’s passionate team.”

Brad McMillan, who owned Paradigm and Apps on Tap, joins F12 as the Regional Manager of the Toronto Region. The Apps on Tap and Paradigm team has moved into F12’s facility in Markham, Ontario, which opened in August of 2017.

The Apps on Tap and Paradigm teams have provided managed IT solutions and reseller services in the region since 2002 and 1992, respectively. With this acquisition, F12 is well on its way to becoming the largest MSP in Canada, McMillan asserts.

“F12 is a perfect partner for us with in-house Canadian based cloud services which compliment ours and a similar record of accomplishment,” McMillan said. “F12 has a clear vision to become the largest MSP in Canada and we are thrilled to be part of that story.”
