F12.net has acquired fellow Canadian MSP Sitkum IT Managed Services. Devon Gillard, director of client relations, managing partner, F12, says the companies shared similar ideals, making for a smooth transaction. Both companies are members of an Ingram Micro partner program and connected that way.

“We know Mike Lazier and Sitkum IT through Ingram’s TrustX Alliance and we admire how quickly Mike built a mature managed services practice in the East Kootenays,” Gillard tells ChannelE2E. “As it happens, Mike has a close professional relationship with leaders in our other BC acquisitions, OnDeck Systems and Protocol Technologies.  When he signaled an interest in joining our expanded F12.net team, we were thrilled.”

Sitkum’s operations will be bolstered by F12’s service offerings, vendor partnerships, and data center capabilities, but beyond that, the company will continue to work with organizations as it always had.

Sitkum’s owner, Mike Lazier, will join F12 as a Managing Partner for the Kootenay Region. The company opened its doors in 2011 in the Kootenay, BC region. The company since expanded to offer IT solutions across many organizations in diverse verticals.

Expansion Plans

This is the latest in a string of MSP-focused acquisitions for the Alberta, Canada-based F12. This deal will help the company expand further west into the province of British Columbia, the company said.

Within the last few years, F12 has bought Xcel Professional Services in Alberta and OnDeck Systems in British Columbia, but that isn’t the end of their expansion plans. Gillard says the company continues to look for companies who might want to be acquired.

“We are looking for further expansion opportunities across Canada,” he says. “We are most interested in opportunities where the leadership wants to stay, and stay engaged, in delivering outstanding services to their clients.”
