JumpCloud Acquires Resmo for IT Asset Management

JumpCloud Inc. has acquired Resmo, a company specializing in asset management and SaaS security solutions for cloud-native IT and SecOps teams. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

JumpCloud, founded in 2012, is based in Louisville, Colorado. The company has 704 employees listed on LinkedIn. JumpCloud’s areas of expertise include device management, extending AD/LDAP to the cloud, software-as-a-service (SaaS), cloud identity management, single sign-on, cloud RADIUS, multi-factor authentication, user management, and server access & management.
 

Resmo, founded in 2022, is based in Dover, Delaware. The company has 17 employees listed on LinkedIn. Resmo’s areas of expertise include security, compliance, SaaS, DevOps, security engineering, SaaS security, and IT security.

Enhanced Directory Platform

The acquisition is part of JumpCloud's plan to enhance its open directory platform, offering what the company calls comprehensive capabilities for secure user provisioning, access request management, and utilization monitoring. By integrating Resmo’s technology, JumpCloud says it can provide an all-in-one solution addressing the needs for SaaS management, IT security, and asset management.

The platform focuses on eliminating Shadow IT by providing visibility into all applications and IT resources within an organization, thus facilitating secure, frictionless access, the company said.

All Resmo employees have been offered positions within JumpCloud, according to the company.
