Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. has acquired VioPoint Inc, a cybersecurity consulting firm in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Financial terms were not disclosed.
VioPoint will essentially tuck into Konica Minolta's All Covered managed IT Services division. Through organic growth and multiple acquisitions, All Covered has been recognized as both a Top 100 Vertical Market MSP as well as a Top 100 MSSP, according to ChannelE2E and MSSP Alert, respectively.
The VioPoint team specializes in vulnerability management, security monitoring, risk assessment and compliance. The company also offers managed security services. The deal is part of All Covered's expanded IT security practice -- which seeks to safeguard businesses across the country, according to All Covered President Todd Croteau.
All Covered and VioPoint have "great alignment" in terms of company culture, and the deal sets the stage for new staff opportunities as VioPoint opens up new services to its clientele, according to President and CEO Mark Murphy.
