Lightwell, an IT services and solutions provider in Dublin, Ohio, has acquired BAAX LLC—a Columbus, Ohio-based consulting firm that specializes in data analytics, the two companies have confirmed. Financial terms were not disclosed.

BAAX, launched in 2004, focuses on data analytics strategy, data integration, data warehousing, business intelligence and predictive analytics. In addition to consulting and project skills, the BAAX team has developed a proprietary data profiling and cleansing product called EDGE. BAAX also has expertise in such areas as Oracle Hyperion, Qlikview, Tableau, Microstrategy and SAP Business Objects, the company says.

The BAAX team will help Lightwell customers to access, integrate, cleanse, transform, and analyze data to make meaningful and actionable decisions, Lightwell President and Founder Michelle Kerr said in a prepared statement.

Even before the deal, Lightwell has been in growth mode. Company revenues hit $39.7 million in 2016, representing a three year growth rate of 58 percent, according to the Inc. 5000 list for 2017. Lightwell, which had about 155 employees last year, is an IBM, MuleSoft, Oracle NetSuite and SAP partner. The company provides services and solutions for integration and connectivity, order management, B2B integration, and managed file transfer, the company says.

We've reached out to Lightwell seeking more information about the deal.
