IT Staffing Firms Attract Mergers, Acquisitions and Funding
Staffing firms have been attracting M&A deals lately. Just last month DISYS acquired Xtreme Consulting Group. Also, BlueLine acquired BlueStaff's Technology division a year and a half ago. In both deals, the buyer offered other services and added or bolstered their staffing arms.
While Motion Recruitment is currently focused on staffing, it will be interesting to see if larger MSPs start following suit and add staffing to their portfolio of services. On the flip side, will staffing companies like Motion Recruitment start offering managed services? If this trend continues we may see more of these hybrid companies appear.
According to a recent survey, one of the top challenges MSP firms face today is hiring and training staff. Companies like VARStaffing specifically focus on filling IT service provider and solution provider positions.
