Ntvia , an IT services company offering managed IT, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions, has acquired HigherGround , an Illinois-based full-service IT and consulting firm.
With HigherGround centered in Chicago and Rolling Meadows, Ntiva says the acquisition will expand its geographical coverage into the Midwest. That will add to its locations in Washington DC, Maryland, California, New York, Florida, and its headquarters in McClean, Virginia.

Brian Brammeier was CEO of HigherGround. He shifts to chief strategy officer for Ntiva. He also commented:

This acquisition will increase Ntiva’s client base to over 900 organizations located across the U.S.
Ntiva’s M&A Moves
Ntiva has not shied away from purchasing MSPs, having completed three deals already this year. Deals of note include:
- Apr 2019: Ntiva bought cloud services provider Diverse Technology Solutions.
- Jan 2019: Ntiva acquired Reston, Virginia-based MSP Network Alliance
- Dec 2018: Ntiva bought the commercial MSP and hosting business of Lore Systems Inc.
- Sep 2017: Ntiva acquired full-service telecom provider IN Communications Inc.
