NTT Data Services Acquires Health IT Consulting Firm

Global system integrator NTT Data Services has acquired Cognosante Consulting LLC, a division of Cognosante, a health information technology solutions and services provider for federal and state health agencies. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cognosante Consulting provides IT strategy, planning, quality assurance and project management to state HHS agencies. The business unit has worked with 48 states and the federal government for nearly three decades.

Thanks to the deal, NTT Data Services gains more than 250 specialized consulting resources, as well as intellectual property currently supporting IT transformations, including those specific to Medicaid in more than 20 states, the company said.

Joyce will continue to lead the organization and serve as senior VP with NTT Data Services, the company confirmed.

The consulting practice will continue as part of NTT Data Services, focusing on client IT strategy, project management, quality assurance, and Independent Verification and Validation services, the company said.
